Legoland: GPS for Kids

Are we there yet?

For most kids the fun only starts when they enter the theme park. Kids need to be kept busy on the long drive to Legoland but parents don’t have the attention span or energy to do it themselves. To make the drive to Legoland a non-issue, we had to find a way to stop the are-we-there-yet kids. Most children’s apps and games are designed to tune them out of their surroundings, and leave them without any information on their environment. The last thing kids ages 2-12 want is no information, their brain and cognitive thinking is rapidly growing which means keeping them engaged with their surroundings is a learning opportunity and a quiet moment for parents driving them. Once you enter Legoland, the entire experience was designed for kids to take the lead, from 2ft tables to kids currency. We had to extend that promise before kids got to the park. We launched a GPS travel adventure for kids that sparked their natural curiosity and satisfied their thirst for information by involving them in their surroundings the moment the car journey began.
